ReplyDeleteSure the pricing is partially branding but consider the fact a real LV will last a lifetime and looks even better as it ages. They use quality materials, the hand stitching and time they take to make each bag perfect shows the level of care they put into it.

ReplyDelete$50? In China, maybe! Not when its hand-made in Europe or U.S.A. Don't confuse the cheap imitation vs. the real LV craftmanship. There is a HUGE difference in materials and perfectionist craftmanship. Louis Vuitton products are "perfectly" made. The imitation replica is NOT.

ReplyDeletelol I agree with you. I have had so many friends buy from iOffer... they don't even come real to the Original Louis Vuitton product... not to mention you get materials which are of very poor quality and poor craftmanship. The old saying goes----"You get what you pay for"

ReplyDeleteI like Epi because it is more carefree. With the vanchetta leather on Monogram pieces you have to be careful about water contact because if it gets wet, it will leave watermarks. Also, overtime, the vanchetta leather disintegrates because the leather is virgin and not treated. It's like rotting flesh. Yes, you can get it replaced by LV, but its quite expensive.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info. The Epi line sucks. Once Epi leather crease and fold, its permanent damage forever. Taiga is very nice and very durable... but its design is so simple and minimalistic.
ReplyDeleteAt 4:19-4:20 you state the the Damier is leather. That is incorrect. Items in Monogram and Damier are actually made only of coated cotton canvas. The only leather on bags made out of those materials is the trim and the handles. Examples of LV leather are the Epi, Taiga, Vernis and Nomade lines, which mitigates the higher price of items from those lines.
ReplyDeletehave u ever heard of malleries? they apparently sell gently used authentic bags, and i was thinking of buying from them but i dont want to spend $800- $1200 on a vintage bag that is fake, if u heard of them or know anything about them please let me know, theyre site looks pretty authentic and u seem to be the expert lol :)
